More Frame Makeovers...with words...

Hello friends...
In my last post I showed you the "makeover" I did on some old frames...see more HERE.

In that post I mentioned that I had done something similar with some bigger frames and brought them to our booth before taking pictures...oops.  So here it is :)

I also did one that reminds me of this...

Only more like this...

...but it sold before I got back to take pictures.
Oh well...I'm not complaining!!

Still a couple of photo holders left too :)

Hope you are having a great week!

Frame Makeover...a "new" look for some old pictures frames...

Recently I acquired a box of old picture frames.
I forgot to take "before" pictures...but I'm sure you get the idea...

I removed the glass and the backs...painted them black...and wrapped them with twine.

Of course you need a word tag and a little button/key detail :)

I don't think I can call this a "re-purpose" can I??  How about we just call it a little "junky makeover"?

There were some bigger frames too.  I forgot to take pictures of the "after" before I took them to our booth at Antiques Downtown.  I'll be back to show you what I did with those.  Similar...but different...

Sharing the "LOVE"...with globes

Here's another simple little idea for Valentines...

I mentioned in my last post that we had a bit of a "Love" theme in our Trunk Show booth...more photos HERE.

But did I mention the globes??  More of a "Love makes the world go 'round" theme I guess :)

Which is why I made these little shredded atlas filled glass "globes".

For some reason I didn't get any pictures of the other sayings like...

"I Wouldn't Trade YOU for the WORLD"

"Love makes the WORLD go 'round"

"What the WORLD Needs Now..."

"Love, Sweet, Love"

Just another little last minute "Valentine" idea...
I think they'd make a nice little gift for a friend or your "sweetie".  They look great in a bowl for a centerpiece :)

Glass Flower Frog Photo Holders...a touch of Valentine's

I don't do a lot of "Valentine" decorating at home...but for our booth last weekend we did a "hint" of a love theme.

More photos from that event HERE.
(Signs and pillows by Signs of the Times)

I had a bunch of these glass flower frogs on hand.  I just added wire through the holes...and after a few "twists and turns" around a pencil...there was a great place to clip a photo and some paper hearts.

Or how about some little paper flowers?

The ones with the hearts were the best sellers at the show...but I think the little "flower patch" might be good for Spring??

These little silver sugar bowl photo holders were great sellers too!  Just what I need...another way to add photos to anything!!

And these little knob photo holders just keep on sellin'...so I just keep on makin' them :)

I have a few more "LOVE-ly" ideas to share with you...
so I'll be back nest week with more :)

Lock Box Photo Holders...

For some reason I have always been drawn to these old lock boxes.  Here's a easy little idea to put some to "good use".

I just added wire and some "embellishments"...you know I LOVE those ;)

Add a sweet little button magnet...and you've got yourself a fun little photo holder.
(I am enjoying the grey and cream chippy paint on this one...it might have to "live" at my house!)

Hope everyone is having a great week!  I am still digging myself out from all the "piles" I created last week while I was getting ready for the show.  That's why this point is "short and sweet"...we'll chat again soon!!

A Fun Week...Shop, Show, Shop...

Wow, what a week!!
Here's a little photo (heavy) recap of what I've been up to...

The fun started last Thursday when we did the window for the shop we have a booth in...
Here's a look around...

An old coat rack from a Kindergarten.

We are "in love" with this old post office piece.

Cafe table from a wash tub...why not??

This metal baby bed is a "unique" find...so many fun re-purposing options, but PLEASE don't put your baby in it!!

And then on Friday we headed over to Otten Bros. to set up for the JunkMarket Trunk Show on Saturday.

Our booth was in the garden shop...we were surrounded by LOTS of fun gardening goods.  Great for shopping...not so great for photos.  Hopefully you get the idea :)

It was a GREAT show...lots fun catching up with junk friends and meeting new ones.  It sounds like there will be more on the calendar...I'll keep you posted!!

Then on Sunday we got a call that Joan's cool post office desk sold out of the window...so on Monday back we went to fill the space and add some more :)

We even had a "little helper"...future "junk girl" for sure :)

Again...all of the pillows and signs in our booths were made by my booth partner Joan from Signs of the Times.

Here's the "new" look.

The "baby bed" got a new look too...wine bar??

As we say in MN..."UFF DA"...I'm ready for a "Jammie Day"!!
And that is exactly what we are doing today :)

That's an "overview"...I'll be back soon to show you some of the little projects I made for the booths...until then...
Have a great week!!
